Cooling Lemon Basil Sorbet for Summer

This refreshing Lemon Basil Sorbet recipe is perfect for cooling down this Summer. Made with just a few simple ingredients, it is bursting with zesty lemon and aromatic basil flavors.

Ingredients needed:

Water Sugar Fresh basil Fresh lemons (zest and juice)

Dissolve the sugar in the water over medium heat in a small saucepan. Remove from heat and add the fresh basil. Allow to completely cool and remove the basil.

Add the lemon zest and juice to the syrup. Then, add to the frozen canister in your ice cream machine.

Churn for about 25-30 minutes or until about as thick as a smoothie.

Pack into a freezer-safe container and press parchment paper to the surface. Wrap with plastic wrap or top with an airtight lid. Freeze for at least 4 hours. 

Allow to sit at room temp for a few minutes before serving to make it easier to scoop.
